The Sápmi Awards is a major investment, to praise
the sámi culture and traditions that enrich Sápmi. By an epic
celebration we highlight the importance and the unique values in
different categories. It is you along with knowledgeable jury
groups who will determine the winners.

The Sápmi Awards is a reoccurring award and event, an
annual summer celebration under the midnight sun in Sápmi. In 2014
the event will be on the 12th-14th of June. The Sápmi Awards will
combine an epic celebration with spreading knowledge and
By awarding capable Sámi representatives we are creating strong
role models and attractive ambassadors for the Sámi culture. The
weekend of the celebration will be filled with seminars,
activities, final competitions and other things. At night young
music will take on the stage and at the same time good food

You can help to decide who wins!
The Sápmi awards will select the absolute best from participants
from all over Sápmi. Everybody can vote for his or her favourites
online. The jury teams will then select a few semi finalist that
will be presented on the website where you can then vote for your
favourite to reach the finals. The finalists are selected based on
people's votes and the jury´s votes and the final will be in front
of a live audience on the Sápmi Awards on the 13th-14th of

cooperation with Sámi communities and other associations. Helping
us we have significant organizations with an established knowledge
and competence within the selected sections.
